WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
We know that the path to a great job looks different for everyone. For some, it's a college degree. Our KC Scholars Scholarship Program provides savings programs and scholarships to make college dreams a reality. We offer 9th graders the opportunity to apply for our College Savings Match Program, which provides matched funds and encourages each student to save for their own educational future.
Additionally, we provide scholarships valued up to $50,000 to high school juniors and adult learners. These programs are redeemable at up to 25 colleges and universities in the region.
For those for whom college isn't their path, we offer tuition-free job training in high-demand careers to adults 17 and older who qualify. Through short-term job training and life skill workshops, we prepare area adults, in less than a year, to secure careers where they can earn more than $45k. We offer IT, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, warehousing/logistics, and service career programs.
WHAT SETS US APART?
The way we support our Scholars. Every Scholar has a Scholar Advocate to help them navigate their program, prepare for the workforce, and locate and secure a great job in the Kansas City area. When an obstacle arises, our Advocates use our many internal teams to locate and access community resources that provide what is necessary to address and overcome the obstacle and succeed.
